David Syme plays on a Ritmüller at Cork City Hall
At the 59th Gala Christmas Concert in Cork (Ireland) on 7 December 2019, the world-famous pianist David Syme played on a 188 Premium Ritmüller grand piano. Together with the Cork Concert Orchestra, David Syme filled the 1,200-seat concert hall of Cork City Hall, the largest city outside Dublin, with the 188 Ritmüller grand piano. Host Lord Mayor John Sheehan, who hosted the Christmas concert for the benefit of local charities, welcomed some of the highest dignitaries of the Republic of Ireland. In his speech, the Lord Mayor expressly thanked all members of the Pearl River Piano Group for the beautiful Ritmüller grand piano 188, which was made available for the concert. Together with the Cork Concert Orchestra, David Syme played the third movement of Piano Concerto No. 1 in B minor, Op.23 by Tchaikovsky. With his solo piece, the Etude Op.25 No.11 “Winterwind” by Chopin, David Syme was once again able to inspire his listeners with his abilities. Ritmüller is rapidly gaining popularity in Great Britain and Ireland, as demanding pianists appreciate the excellent tone and the extraordinary feel of both the pianos and the grand pianos.
